​ These general Terms of Service (TOS) aim at presenting the legal framework for the use of the website and services made available by Matières & Stratégie and at defining the conditions of access and use of the services by “the User”.


These TOS are accessible on the website in the “General Terms” section. Any use of the website implies the acceptance without reserve nor restriction of these TOS by the User. 

In case of non-acceptance of the TOS specified in the present contract, the User must give up access to the services proposed on the website. reserves the right to unilaterally modify, at any time, the content of these TOS.

The website  provides the User free access to the following services: 

  • Service presentation

  • News information (blog)

  • Subscription to the newsletter


The website is freely accessible from any place to any User with an internet access. 

All the costs borne by the User to access the service (computer, software, internet connection, etc.) are at her expenses. 

Any event caused by a case of force majeure leading to a misfunctioning of the website or server, and under reserve of any interruption or modification in case of maintenance, does not engage the responsibility. 

The User has the possibility to contact the website via email using the email address mentioned in ARTICLE 1. 


 Article 3: Data collection and privacy policy


3.1 - Purpose of data processing (aim and legal basis)



The company Matières & Stratégie, with head office located at 115 rue Saint Dominique 75007 Paris, manages an online selling website. This website enables us to:


  1. Receive our customers’ orders, and the data collected on that occasion is registered and processed through a customer database

  2. Send our newsletter


These services make it possible to: 

  • Manage subscriptions

  • Produce statistics related to the service

  • Set up marketing operations (customer loyalty, special offers) and send special offers via email to the customers who accepted it: 

We do not transmit customer data to our trading partners. 

Legal basis of data processing

The legal basis of data processing is the performance of a contract (Cf. Article 6.1.b of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union). 

Sending commercial solicitations by email or post about products similar to those ordered by customers: the legal basis of processing is the legitimate interest of the company (Cf. Article 6.1.f of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union), that is promoting our products to our customers. 

Sending commercial solicitations by email or post about other products offered by the company Matières & Stratégie: the legal basis of processing is consent (Cf. Article 6.1.a of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union), as required by Article L.34-5 of the post and electronic communication code. 


3.2 – Data category

Order processing

  • Identity: title, last name, first name, address, delivery address, phone number, email address, internal processing code enabling customer identification, data relative to registration on opposition lists. 

  • Data necessary to customer loyalty and market research actions: purchasing history.

  • Data recipients: the customer and billing services of the company Matières & Stratégie are the recipients of all data categories.


Sending the newsletter: 

  • Email address, subscription date, statistics related to the newsletter service. 

  • Data source: the data source is the registration, by the person wishing to receive the newsletter, of her email address in the registration box at the bottom of the webpage.

  • Mandatory character of data collection: the collection of the email address is mandatory to send the newsletter. 

  • The processing does not include automated decision-making. 

  • People concerned: data processing only affects individuals who wish to register on to receive the newsletter. 

  • Data recipient: the company Matières & Stratégie


3.3 – Duration of data storage

  • Data necessary to customer loyalty and market research actions: for the whole duration of the commercial relationship and three (3) years as of the last purchase. 

  • Matières & Stratégie keeps the email address as long as the person concerned does not unsubscribe (via the unsubscribing link included in the newsletters).


3.4 – Your rights

You can ask not to receive advertising from the company Matières & Stratégie. 

You can access the data concerning yourself, rectify it, or have it deleted. You are also entitled to portability rights and limited data processing rights (Visit the website for more information about your rights).

Article 4: Cookies


The User is informed that, while she visits our website, a cookie can be automatically installed on her browser software.

The information sources published on the website are known to be reliable, but the website does not guarantee that they be unflawed, without mistakes or omissions.

Despite regular updates, the website cannot be held responsible for the modification of the administrative and legal provisions occurring after the publication. Likewise, this website cannot be held responsible for the use and interpretation of the information contained in this website.

The website cannot be held responsible for potential viruses which could infect the computer or any computer equipment owned by the User, following any use, by access or download from this website. 

The website’s responsibility cannot be engaged in case of force majeure or because of an unforeseeable and insurmountable event cause by a third party.

Hypertext links can be present on the website. The User is informed that, by clicking on these links, he will exit from the website The latter does not have control over the webpages to which these links lead, and cannot, in any case, be held responsible for their content. 






Article 8: Applicable law and competent jurisdiction


French law applies to this contract. In the absence of amicable dispute resolution between the parties, French courts are the only competent jurisdiction.
